Marshall County, Tenn.–Multiple agencies from multiple counties assisted this morning on a tugboat fire above Kentucky Dam. All crew on the boat and all crews assisting are safe; no injuries were reported.
The Marshall County Rescue Squad was paged out this morning at 6:52 AM along with East Marshall Volunteer Fire District and South Marshall Fire Department to assist Livingston County with a tow boat that was on fire south of the lock area on Kentucky Lake.
The fire could be seen for miles around.
These departments alongside Ledbetter Fire and Rescue Burna Fire Department Grand Lakes Fire & Rescue Calloway County Fire-Rescue Livingston County Office of Emergency Management Area 1 KYEMA – E3 Environmental and Kentucky EPA have worked tirelessly to get this under control and make sure that everyone is safe.
