Springville, Tenn.–A pontoon boat was destroyed by fire Thursday night but the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department kept the fire from spreading to other areas.
At 11:30 pm, the Paris Landing Firefighters and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 280 Belview Road in Springville, Pine Point area for a report of a shed on fire. Chief Reggie Coles said arriving units found the pontoon boat on fire inside a storage shed. The boat was fully engulfed and could not be saved.
Owner Curtis Poole was not there at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire is believed to be caused by an electrical problem. Damage is estimated at $35000.
